All licensed persons must register with the Town’s Building Department and provide a Certificate of Insurance prior to beginning any work. No permits will be given unless there is a currently valid license and Certificate of Insurance on file. A Massachusetts Workers' Compensation Insurance Affidavit must accompany all permit applications.
All permit fees will be DOUBLED if construction is begun without a building permit. A re-inspection fee of $50.00 will be charged if the inspection does not pass, or if work is not ready when called to inspect.
Wood/Pellet/Gas supplemental heating units and systems are required to be installed with a Building Permit. The permit form can be obtained by calling the Building Department and we will mail one out to you or stopping by our office. Remember that an Electrical or Gas permit may be required as well to complete your installation.
